Luxury Home and Leisure Show is back in Great Amwell

TOP sports cars will on show along with home improvement and entertainment ideas at a premium lifestyle show in Great Amwell.

Now in its second year, the Mercury-backed Luxury Home and Leisure Show at the Van Hage garden centre has more than doubled in size with more than 40 exhibitors featuring over the weekend of Saturday and Sunday October 1 and 2.

Billed as three shows in one, the event will cover sport and leisure, homes and cars.

Graham Davies, whose Stanstead Abbotts-based firm Exclusively organises the event, said: “We had great feedback from exhibitors last time who had an uplift in sales. It is more than two-and-a-half times bigger this year, with a dedicated car gallery and lots of interactive exhibitions.

“For those with an affluent lifestyle, this is a boutique exhibition specific to their lifestyle needs.”

Those on the hunt for inspiration for their homes will have some ideas thanks to contemporary interior designs from Steven Throne Design, art from Gallery Rouge and the latest audio-visual products from Bang & Olufsen among others.

For something a bit less contemporary, Bushwood Antiques will display their wares and the Antiques Roadshow’s David Battie will also be on hand.

The garden centre will launch its Christmas displays with a circus theme over the weekend.

For those looking to relax, a stay at Welwyn’s Brocket Hall is up for grabs along with beer tastings from Hertford’s McMullen & Sons brewery and food samples from Ware’s le Spice Merchant restaurant.

There will also be golf demonstrations, a tennis challenge from Haileybury Collge-based Legends Tennis and a mini-health check from Nuffield Health.

Cars on display will include Ferraris, Maseratis, Bentleys and Lotuses, along with a Mercedes-Benz AMG and Chrysler Jeep from Mercedes-Benz Hertford.

Children get in free to the event, which is open from 9am to 6pm on Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday. Tickets are priced at £6 and can be booked at www.luxuryhomeshow.co.uk.
