COME out to play in Stevenage on Wednesday (August 4) to celebrate children’s right to play.
All Stevenage Play Centres and holiday playschemes will be providing free activities on the day for 5- to 14-year-olds.
This year’s nationwide Playday theme is “Our place”. The aim is to put children at the heart of our communities and to help create better places for all us to live and play.
Throughout the summer, Stevenage Council's Play Section will be hosting play opportunities for children right across the town.

- Bedwell Community Centre
- Peartree Park Pavilion
- Symonds Green Community Centre Annexe
- Shephalbury Park
- Chells Manor Community Centre

Cllr Howard Burrell, Executive Member for children and young people, culture, sport and leisure, said: “I am very pleased that Stevenage Council is taking part in the national Playday.
