Labour is now the main opposition party on North Herts District Council after they gained three seats in Thursday's election.
Of 15 seats available, Labour gained three (Letchworth East, Letchworth Grange and Letchworth Wilbury) from the Conservatives, who themselves gained two from the LIb Dems (Hitchin Highbury and Baldock East).
The make-up of the council is now: Conservative: 33; Labour 10; Lib Dem 6.
