HERTFORDSHIRE Highways will be resurfacing the A602 Lytton Way / A1155 Fairlands Way roundabout from Friday (September 3).
Weather permitting, the works will take place over five nights (including weekends) and involve resurfacing the road and replacing ironworks, high friction (anti-skid) surfacing and road markings.
Due to the nature of these works and to ensure a safe working environment for the workforce and the general public, work will be carried out under phased road closures between the hours of 8pm and 6am.
The high friction surfacing work on the two A602 Lytton Way approaches to the roundabout will be carried out from September 13 to September 16 between 8pm and 6am under lane closures.
Stuart Pile, executive member for highways and transport, said: "This area has been identified as needing repair before the winter. Some degree of disruption and delay is to be expected as a result of these essential maintenance works.
“While we will make every effort to minimise these, please allow extra time for any journey."
Bus services will be affected by these road closures - details of any changes will be posted at your local bus stop. Alternatively, details are available at www.intalink.org.uk.
Hertfordshire Highways or their contractors will not approach you offering to carry out works to your property.
