Police have arrested a man following a vandalism spree that saw five vehicles damaged in the space of an hour.
Officers have received five reports of criminal damage said to have occurred in the Herne Road of Stevenage area between 10.15am and 11.20am on Thursday.
Damage includes windscreen wipers being removed and wing mirrors being smashed.
A short time later a 26-year-old man from Letchworth was arrested in connection with one of the damages, he has been released on police bail.
PC Rondell Quinlan is investigating and said: “I would like appeal to anyone who was in the area between these times and saw anyone acting suspiciously to contact police.
“I am also keen to hear from anyone who may have any information whatsoever which would assist our enquiries. If you know anything please call me.”
