Man found injured on A602 near Lister Hospital

POLICE are appealing for witnesses and information following an incident this morning (Thursday July 29) at Coreys Mill in Stevenage.

PoliceAt around 7.40am, police officers discovered an injured man in his 60s on the A602 Hitchin Road, near Lister Hospital.

The ambulance service was in attendance and the man was taken to hospital for treatment. The road was closed for a short time.

Inspector Andy Piper said: “At this stage it is unclear as to what exactly has happened to the man. We are investigating whether he has taken ill or if there is any possibility of a road traffic collision having occurred.

"Hitchin Road is extremely busy at that time of day and I would like to speak to anyone who has any information which would assist our investigation.”
