More than 300 cannabis plants found in Stevenage

MORE than 300 cannabis plants were found at a house in Stevenage on Saturday (March 6) after officers executed a drugs warrant.
 
A 29-year-old man was charged with drug offences after the officers attended the address in Chalkdown.

Angi Ni was charged with an offence of producing a controlled drug and appeared before Stevenage Magistrates Court on Monday (March 8).
 
He has been remanded in custody.

Sergeant Mike Wood from the Eastern Area Tactical team said: “Information from members of the public can prove vital in our proactive efforts to continue to bring crime down in Stevenage.

“We are extremely grateful to residents and landlords and I would like to reassure people that we will act on information received to make Stevenage even safer.

“Anyone with information should contact the police or Crimestoppers.”
