More 'Approved' green cars
SINCE the launch of the Next Green Car Approved list in November, the number of searches and views for Approved models has increased by a significant 28 per cent.
“We are delighted in the interest in the NGC Approved list,” says Melanie Shufflebotham of nextgreencar.com. “Our aim was to provide an independently selected up-to-date list highlighting the best of the best green cars and it seems that car buyers are responding to this – now they are able to identify the low emission cars that both suit their needs and are good for the environment.”
The NGC Approved list, an independently selected list of the best green cars, currently has more than 100 models. The following have recently been added: Hyundai i10 1.0l and Hyundai i30 1.6l: Hyundai’s recent focus on low emission vehicles has been rewarded – the new i10 is a nifty sub-100g CO2/km, tax and congestion charge exempt city car while the i30 is in the small family class, a diesel with a CO2 figure of 110g/km. Vauxhall Astra Sport Tourer 1.3 CDTi: This estate has CO2 emissions of 109g/km. Ford C-Max 1.6 Duratorq TDCi and Grand C-Max 1.6 Duratorq TDCi: Both have solid tail-pipe CO2 emissions of 119g/km and 129g/km respectively Fiat Qubo 1.3 Multijet 95: Leading MPV with CO2 emissions of 112g/km. Saab 9-3 Saloon 1.9TTiD and Saab 9-3 SportWagon 1.9TTiD: Just below the BMW 320d Efficient Dynamics model, the class leader.
Skoda Yeti GreenLine 1.6 CR TDI: With CO2 emissions of only 119g/km, the Skoda Yeti GreenLine becomes the first Approved SUV. To view the NGC Approved list please visit www.nextgreencar.com/approved.
